About Meditative Horsemanship™
What if you could experience a true partnership with your horse, without the need for metal, force, domination or fear-based negative conditioning tactics?
What if all it required of you was to STOP everything you are doing now?
What if all you needed to do was experience the now, the moment, this very breath?
What if all it took was becoming open to an entirely new way of existing?
A way of being in your day to day life with your equine?
What if all was required of you was to close your eyes and mouth, open your mind and heart to experience life from the perspective of your equine partner?
Isis, equine-human relationship facilitator and communicator, fosters true inter-species communication and awareness between the equine and human partners.
Isis is a specialist in overcoming rider confidence issues, seat and balance issues, and behavior problems.
And best of all, it is based not on some new-found gimmick designed to sell millions of dollars worth of clinics, books, or over-expensive equipment.
Her training program is based on thousands of years of solid Eastern philosophy, bridged with proven western, scientific theories of learning, behavior and bio-mechanics.
Isis has a unique gift in helping humans and equines reconnect and learn together what it takes to build a true partnership - a true relationship that goes beyond the physical. A life-long relationship based on mutual trust, respect, and communication.
Background -
Isis has been communicating with animals since she was three. This ability has enabled her a unique insight and view into the world of horses and has led her to a path of greater awareness of the problems of modern day training practices.
Cross-discipline studies in reining, trail riding, endurance, dressage, three day eventing, and hunter jumper, Isis has delved deeply into numerous approaches to training. She experienced such a difficult time understanding why humans felt the need to dominate and control the horse - causing more problems than solving - that she decided to search for an answer.
Seeking to address the core problem of leadership and domination based training paradigms, Isis plunged into a study of animal behavior, learning theory and bio-mechanics.
Isis pursued the “answer” through 10 years of devoted research which led her to uncover the theories of horsemanship by such masters as: Xenophon, Newcastle, de la Broue, Baucher, de La Guerinere, Licart, General deCarpentry and a host of others. She went on to study classical equitation with three masters over 5 years, taking serious study in the art of rassembler. She has taken from her perspective the best of what each of these trainers and teachers has to offer to produce a body of applicable wisdom for today’s enlightened equestrian.
Isis has spent years studying psychology, behavior, conditioning, nutrition, herbal medicine, bio-energy, anatomy and physiology, as well as Eastern Philosophy.
Isis started to formulate a different approach to working with horses - one she developed in partnership with her own troubled horses she rescued along the way.
Her unique approach bridges eastern philosophy and science of energetics, western science of psychology, animal behavior, and learning theory with the nearly lost classical art of riding.
Meditative Horsemanship™ is born.
This path of the meditative horse person is not for everyone, but the wisdom found in principles and philosophies learned and studied along the way go far to impact every aspect of your life.
Her approach to working with horses is the first of its kind - truly no force, no fear, no domination, where the horse and rider must learn to find ways to work TOGETHER, as opposed to dominating one over the other and grow together on a path where mutual trust, respect and true love reigns supreme.
